Harnessing the healing power of emotional connection
“I've referred many couples to Dr. Fagan and Dr. Srsic. They are both highly experienced psychologists who specialize in delivering Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy. Their treatment is short-term and intensive, which may save time and money in the long run. ”

Our services
How It Works
Step 1: Review the information on our website and share it with your partner.
Step 2: Schedule a 20-minute virtual consultation with your potential therapist. Your therapist will listen to your goals and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the process. Email Dr. Srsic at info@rcohio.com and suggest a good email address to use to set up a google meet and a few windows of time where you and your partner can be in front of the same computer screen.
Step 3: Schedule your Intensive. At the end of the consultation, if you want to move forward, we can schedule the intensive if you have your calendars with you. We schedule these appointments very close in time to each other to maintain the intensity and momentum we build together.
Typical Intensive Schedule
(Dates, start and stop times are flexible based on your needs)
Joint Assessment Appointment (1 hour together)
We explore the history of your relationship, stressors and sources of conflict
Individual Assessment Appointment (1 hour with each of you)
We first learn about relationships in the families we grew up in, so you will meet individually with your therapist to share information about your family
Couples Counseling Day 1
2.5 Hour AM Appointment
Break for Lunch
2 Hour Afternoon Appointment
Couples Counseling Day 2
2.5 Hour AM Appointment
Break for Lunch
2 Hour Afternoon Appointment
*This is just an example; scheduling can be customized based on your needs. It is preferred to do all the work in person. In specific situations, telehealth may be utilized for our initial assessment appointments.
Step 4: Paperwork. Once we have scheduled, you will receive an email confirming the dates for our meetings and information about paperwork that facilitates the process.
Step 4: Next Steps: Toward the end of the intensive, we will discuss what you want to do moving forward. You might feel like you've gotten what you need, or you might decide you would like to continue the progress you have made with longer term couples counseling. If that is the case, we will refer you to a colleague who practices traditional couples counseling. Your intensive therapist will collaborate with your new couples therapist to ensure a smooth transition and that all relevant information/insights are thoughtfully passed on.
Step 5: Follow Up: You will receive a summary report for you to keep. It describes the cycle in which you get stuck and gives you specific, concrete ways to strengthen your relationship and get unstuck.
